Welcome to the website; People Photo is owned and run by me; Phil Dyer. I am primarily a wedding photographer but also offer related services such as event photography, family portrait photography, and a limited amount of commercial portrait photography.

The main core of my business is Wedding Photography and since photographing my first wedding in 1995 I have covered more than 450 weddings. You can see examples of my most recent wedding shoots in the weddings section of the gallery and more information is available by clicking the weddings link at the top of any page.

If you are just starting to look at wedding photographer's web sites you may see a number of different terms used to describe their style of photography.

Some may use terms like: documentary wedding photography, wedding photojournalism, reportage wedding photography and fly on the wall wedding photography, are all pretty much interchangeable and describe a method of working which, in its pure form, involves the recording of your wedding day as it unfolds without direction or intervention from the photographer. This style of photography has become more popular in recent years as wedding photographers have moved away from heavy manual focus roll-film cameras and towards more portable, faster digital versions.

Others may describe themselves as formal, classic, timeless or traditional wedding photographers. Which usually indicates a more controlled, posed approach, to telling the story of your wedding day.

In truth, few, if any wedding photographers fall entirely into one category – even the most committed wedding photojournalist will usually set up a few formal groups - so it's usually just a matter of emphasis. My depth of experience allows me to work very effectively in either style and so I am always happy to angle the coverage of your wedding day towards your own preferences.

Over the years I have photographed weddings throughout Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire with the odd foray further afield. The vast majority, however, have been in and around Milton Keynes, where I have built up an good knowledge of local wedding venues.
